it was suggested that we add a Provides: firefox to abrowser meta
package. While this technically works, its not what we want. At some
point firefox should provide a proper virtual package name, like
firefox-compatible-browser, which should then be used by all firefox
clones: iceweasel, abrowser, .
That seems a more logical place for it.

I was able to get the tablet working by rebuilding the kernel module,
using the current beta sources from the Linux Wacom Project
(linuxwacom-0.8.1-4). This includes pressure sensitivity in GIMP (You
have to manually enable the tablet: "Preferences/Input Devices/Configure
Extended Input Devices..."

Hans, one problem is that the installer initrd has no idea whether is
was booted from a USB drive or not, so the question whether to just scan
for USB automatically can not be based on this. On the other hand, I
don't see that it can do much harm to scan all USB devices anyway.

Another workaround that just worked for me: add
blacklist evdev
to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist then run /sbin/update-modules as root, and
reboot. The behavior of the keyboard and mouse is thereafter reverted
to what it was under Hardy Heron, no xorg.conf changes or setxkbmap
voodoo needed.

I have the Dell dimension C521 and am running Feisty 7.04 I get the same
message at startup MP-BIOS bug 8254 timer not connected and I used to
