I installed the gtk-engines-geramik package to test a bit more, and
realized that Geramik too has got dark colors. I've set dark colors in
my KDE3 session (Kore)... could it be that KDE3 and KDE4 colors were
messed up? This things should not happen since kde4 and kde3 config
files are in different
It seems that my Virtualbox folder share was removed on install. I
downloaded Gsambad, then added the share that had gone missing, even
though Nautilus showed it as a share.
Gsambad also told me that it couldn't find smb.conf.
After that I reinstalled nautilus-share.

Right, the symlink issue is being tracked elsewhere (bug #270131). The
dependency one is what was fixed in ubuntu3.
So, let's recap and try to stay focused on what this bug is about. It
was about update-motd showing stale information, which is expected, but
could be improved by showing a timestamp

Bug #271368. Give a little while to build, but it should hit the

I am not having a problem with either suspend or hibernate using the
fn-f1 or fn-esc keys. I am an Inspiron 1420 owner, with integrated
nvidia graphics. The 1420 also ships with the integrated intel
graphics. I suspect the user with the problem has not properly setup
their machine for su

I have a 701 4G Surf. I'm running the latest "daily" of Intrepid -
updated this morning. Confirming that hot-keys do not work.
F1 (Suspend) disables networking momentarily, and then restores it.

I think you're asking for a solution that is more than most people
here are asking. Simply not having an EULA and being able to disable
the services is sufficient. It is already easy to disable the
services (in the settings menu), so it's just case of having to agree
to the EULA.

I think the reason for this is that xubuntu has its own build of abiword
and gnumeric with a different package name that gnome-app-install does
not recordnises.

I close the gnome-app-install task, this is a issue with kdesu and
synaptic.

I go nm-connection-editor -> Mobile Broadband -> GSM Connection -> Edit
and there are two tabs Mobile Broadband and PPP. No IPv4 tab. The wired
connection has IPv4 tab, mobile connection does not.
