If I start up Banshee music player and listen to some songs, then try to
play a video on Youtube, there will be no audio in the video. If I close

I also tried the suspend with Alpha5 Live-CD. I confirm the same
problem. When the laptop comes back the screen is black. I had to press
and hold power to restart.

I was not able to reproduce the error with ffplay, neiter with current
SVN nor with the version in intrepid. I therefore conclude that ffmpeg
is not at fault here.
I also tried to call /usr/bin/gnome-video-thumbnailer as indicated in
the bug description, but wasn't able to reproduce the crash eit
The workaround is very simple. Just change the rights of the smb.conf file. The
group should be adm and the rights for the group should be set to rw. In
commands:
sudo chgrp adm /etc/samba/smb.conf
sudo chmod g+w /etc/samba/smb.conf
Then it works for me.

Couple persons earlier pointed out that Epiphany does not have Adblock
Plus and that's primary reason why it is not an option for them. I would
like to set that straight. Epiphany has ad blocking feature, which even
is able to download blocklists. It's a bit dumb, but I have found out
that it works

Stranamente ho la cpu che lavora molto rispetto alle versioni precedenti.

I don't have any sound output from my Asus K8V-MX/AMD Sempron 2800+ box
running 8.04. I followed the trouble shooting guide at
help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshooting- see attached file.
I also reinstalled Alsa-base using Synaptic without any success. AC'97
is enabled

Debian has fixed a FTBFS problem when DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS="parallel=3"
is set.

I think ubuntu should capitalise on a new marketing scheme. Like what
apple did with the letter "i", let ubuntu do with the letter "u"

I did set the priority to high, and then set it back to new because the
part of this bug which caused Xorg to drop to VESA mode is probably
fixed (was related to problems with nvidia module itself and DKMS) ,
this bug would need to be tested with upcoming intrepid alpha 6.

A merge from Debian for mozilla-traybiff won't change anything, as
mozilla-traybiff is already at the last version.
What we need to do is change references from icedove to thunderbird, and
from iceape to seamonkey.

To clarify things:
The gnome power manager tray icon now shows the battery icon, and if I
move the mouse over, it says Computer uses battery power. Laptop battery
1h 30min remaining (58%). Battery discharging time is estimate. By the
way, if in gpm preferences I select to only show the tray icon w

- is it ok if a non-Firefox browser (or rebranded Firefox) uses the Firefox
User-Agent string (without accepting any EULA etc)?
