OK, upgraded whole system to intrepid and I can confirm audio now works
properly after suspend on an eeepc 900. Verified that it did work before
the upgrade as well. Seems to me this bug can be closed.

I realised that Windows has it pretty much the same way but I have never
noticed this problem there. I checked and yes, they do it better.

Firefox and then clicking either File or Bookmarks to get the respective
result.

At this point digikam is installable again but as predicted, not showing
any images without its kio slaves... the same thing happens if digikam
is built with a wrong KDE prefix.
