I think that causing the application description to be changed goes a
bit too far. Since upstream is active and involved, as long as they'll
agree to support bug fixes in the Intrepid version, I think it's OK.

On my HP Compaq 6730b the laptop speakers had no sound, after the installation
of Ubuntu 8.10 alpha5 2.6.27-2-generic. The only way I could hear sound was
when I plugged in my headphones. After reading the Wiki on how to install Intel
soundcards, it still didn't work, but n
Jonathan I had that problem when opening zips attached to emails (on kmail)
that had a single zip inside them.
I didnt do many more tests, but I'll see if tonight I can create a few test

If I unmount the USB stick before running usb-creator, it does almost
nothing but claims to have completed successfully (I'll file that part
separately). It looks like it fetches the current mountpoint from hal,
but if the device isn't mounted
