I've just tried it and it seems to open zips with zip files inside.

1. It tries to open those embedded zips with the viewer so it fails. It should
open a new instance of ark or better yet, expand the zip as if it were a

I just tested to run the Alpha5 live-CD and it seems that the issue is
fixed. CPU scaling is working and the fan starts working when
temperature rises and stops when temperature drops again.

Hi folks,
the referred bug#292724 on the debian site was "fixed" in 2005 ... so obviously
its not our bug they fixed:
to me the pb happened when trying to install UbuntuStudio 8.04.1 (uses the
alternate installer) on my Acer Aspire 5930G.
My Steps: -resized the partition using the RescueCD/Gp

Nice! I just tested it under intrepid, and it seems to have solved this issue
for me.
This has been a minor, but persistent irritation for me for the past year of
so.
I use XrandR to turn my s-video output on/off (to let my son watch
tv/movies while I work), and each time would mess up my fire
