I have this problem in 8.04 with an NVidia card using the drivers
provided by Ubuntu.
My screenshot looks a little different to the other ones I've seen -
rather than being cut off and grey, my titles go pink and transparent.
It appears at random when I focus a window, and it can be fixed again by

OK that l3232 is a typo. A result of you running the "sed fix" for
64bit. I did not have to run that fix on hardy 64bit fresh install.
that l3232 is supposed to be l32 in the "sed fix" so it should be
/usr/l32/gtk.

I fixed this myself by copying my wifes copy of fstab from her (same
model) eee pc running Hardy Heron.
Maybe Fstab being weird is because I installed using a USB stick with
Unetbootin?

No, this is a different issue. I had reviewed Bug #61237 when I posted
this-- it was one the system automatically recommend I review before
committing the post. But that bug is different in three important ways:
1) it is about behavior within Nautilus (going from one Nautilus window
to another), no
ACK from me, please try to triage those critical bugs and work closely
with Jamie to get them fixed.
