Yes I did reproduce it twice. I agree this is a memory issue. Look at
the slides. I also added a series of slides about the second attempt I
did when trying to monitor the event. I want to say also that backtrace
does not work for me. Look below:

Ok, so there seems to be a problem with the logic I think. The fallback
doesn't seem to work, since the vesa driver can't use the device if nv
has poked it.

I think it's not enabled. I searched for vPRO in the bios setup but could not
find it. I think there was such a setting in a previous version of the bios of
this machine.
Is there a way to find out from the OS environment?
