btw. when you compile Banshee from scratch you need to specify some
parameters to enable iPod support. That might be the reason why it
doesn't work for you (Ian). Don't remember exactly what, but typing
"./config --help" when you compile it will probably get you what you
want.

Both kdm and gdm will not recognise the mouse or keyboard. Amending the

I have a very similar issue on a Toshiba P100 laptop (PSPA3E): 2
suspends to ram work (no sound at resume, but it has always be an issue
on this machine), third does not resume.
So maybe this bug is duplicate with this one?

I've verified the Bug on a Thinkpad z61p with VT enabled. (KVM was able
to run Windows XP before installing xen.) So this problem cannot be
related to the older P4 CPU used in my testing System.

commenting the erroneous line and running apt-get and then again

This is certainly a usability bug. You can not expect average user to
edit gconf keys. Also the option was present on UI in sound-juicer. So
if rhythmbox plans to replace it, it should have same option in UI.
