I have no idea. The bug occurred by upgrading from Dapper to Edgy
because Ubuntu switched to udev in the Edgy release. I have not tried
upgrading a pre-udev system since getting over this problem.

As far as I know this issue is wide spread to quite a few laptop setups and is
specific to 2.6.24-21.

I think the problem is in alsa, alsamixer has not mute option for Master
channel.
Then kmix has not mute option for Master channel.
When i press mute key, it tries to mute Master, by that, sound card does not
mute.

Does everyone here have an Intel PROWireless 3945? People in the bug I
mentioned have problems with unloading the driver, where a 'rmmod

+1, though I'm finding pasting between Thunar windows via the shortcut always
fails. In other words to reproduce simply:
- open two Thunar windows
- select a file and copy (ctrl+c)
- in the other window try to paste - the shortcut (ctrl+v) doesn't work but
doing it via the menu (Edit > Paste) doe
We don't need to create more metapackages just because some packages are
shared; the original seeds where the developers actually manage this
list has a shared file across flavours of Ubuntu (platform.intrepid
/desktop-common), but I don't see any value in exposing this to users.
