I'm trying to use the 32bit version. I don't get any such terminal

base, language-pack-kde-ml depends on -base so it's not necessary to

Just throwing in a "ditto" here and subscribing...
This "seems" to be similar to a bug that started with Hardy, only now it
is worse. With Hardy- while you couldn't browse shares through Nautilus,
you could manually mount them using the "Connect to Server..." dialog in
Places. You would get an err

Thanks for your prompt response. Sorry my reply is so delayed. Yes, I have 256
MB ram. I couldn't get Unbuntu to load this time, but I finally got Xubuntu
installed on Dell CPx H Laptop. Here are data files/logs you requested:

I finally reinstalled from scratch and the problem went away (previous
