After some time of using B43 I can say that it works for me on Hardy,
but it sometimes doesn't see my home network. I have to turn wifi off
(hw switch), turn it back on, and wait a moment for it to refresh the
available networks. But that might be a separate bug.

I am sorry, but I should have commented that time itself. This is not a
bug. The problem was solved that time itself, by doing "killall -9
firefox" and then restarting firefox. Basically the problem arises due
to firefox not "rebooting" itself properly. The problem should go away
if you restart you

I started the Ubuntu 8.04.1 amd64 CD in Windows and selected "Install inside
Windows" option.
Then in the "Ubuntu Setup" dialog I left the default options (which were :

I don't really understand what you mean. util-linux is at the same
version across amd64, i386 and ppc versions of Dapper (currently 2.12r-
4ubuntu6.1 as I already pointed out). util-linux will not just be
upgraded from this version to the latest (currently 2.14 in Intrepid),
as it is not eligible f

Could this be a missing gtkrc file under /usr/share/themes/Human/? There
is no gtk-2.0 folder like in Human-Murrine or NewHuman.
But for now: The window decoration looks really nice. I like that blue
