When you go to update user permission in a folder, Nautilus does not
allow you to make it recursive, even though the option is there within
the permission dialog.
Im doing this while doing 'sudo nautilus --no-desktop' in a terminal.
Within XFCE.
When I try firefox -ProfileManager, it is not creating the profiles. I
have attached the screenshots I get. In the 4th screen, when I press on
Next button, it hangs. I waited for about more than 30 minutes, but it
does not proceed.

I don't know exactly which file it was reading, it was just checking the
already known library, I don't think there were new files since the last
time it booted correctly...
And my library mainly consists of MP3s and some WMA files
He was reading it in from an external USB HD, if that matters...

Is this problem going to be fixed in Hardy? I too have this same
problem and it drove me immediately away from Ubuntu for a few months.
I had to come back because Ubuntu has the packages that I use. However
this is a real negative for Ubuntu, I have a hard time recommending this
if it doesn't wor

Please consider removing the blacklist for all the ati cards on laptops in
intrepid. The only ATI cards with problems listed at
http://wiki.compiz-fusion.org/Hardware/Blacklist are:
* RS480: the problems on these cards should have been fixed in the mesa 7.1-rc3

Ok. I tried renaming the .mozilla folder to .mozilla_old and started firefox.
Still it did not help.
I removed firefox installation by apt-get remove firefox. Deleted the .mozilla
folder. Then installed again by apt-get install firefox.
Then tried to create a new profile. But it still hangs.

This bug is still there in 0.6.6-0ubuntu3 on 8.04 - affects files with a
space anywhere in the path.
Is this posted in the right place, as it doesn't seem to be getting much
attention :(
