In Hardy, the cpu wakeup on alarm is working by writing the date/time to
/proc/alarm/rtc. In Intrepid, I write the date/time to
/sys/class/rtc/rtc0/wakealarm during system startup and shutdown.
I also reset the wakealarm before writing the date/time:

Apport doesn't want to send a report with PPA version. After I removed
the PPA version and reinstalled the stable ubuntu version it no longer
pops up a Apport report problem notice.
So, I decided I should upload the Apport report from /var/crash

I guess the right thing would be to instead have it disabled by default
in /etc/laptop-mode/laptop-mode.conf, and stop looking in /etc/default
/acpi-support. For upgrades, this means people who had enabled it in
acpi-support will have to reenable it in laptop-mode.conf, unless we do

I can confirm this bug using the nvidia-glx-new driver an compiz window
manager. It seems to be a repainting problem; I usually switch to
workspace/viewport 2 and back to workspace/viewport 1, which repaints

I have just ordered my Hardy. The question is still open, I like 7:10.
I will most likely set up another computer for 8:04.
Though I am starting to think, I am the only one trying to use Ubuntu as
