Wow, suspend to RAM is finally working on my computer. It didn't work
with any earlier kernels on Hardy and Gutsy. I'm using a 32-bit Hardy
with 2.6.24-19-generic as the kernel and this is the Celeron M version
of the laptop.

I'm really not fluent in these matters and part of what you wright is
really beyond me. However, the motherbord on the plagued PC is an MSI so
it's not impossible that it's got a BIOS from Foxconn. I'm prevented
from checking it at the moment, though.

I try to unpack an .7z archive which many dirs/subdirs.
But, 7z places all unpacked files, even from subdirectories, into ./
So, file packed as dir/foo.txt is unpacked into ./foo.txt (and emty directory
