in other situations, where you do not want to have an avahi daemon
installed on a (server) system, you do want to be able to install

I have the same problem. The "localedef" process is currently stuck
using 100% CPU and upgrade stalled. Any tip on how I should proceed?
Need the system to be usable ASAP so should I try kill the localedef
process or do something else?
