Yes, this bug is still present in Hardy. There is a problem
fundamentally with the way open office handles dialogs and
primary/secondary screen setups. Especially, with the first time you use
the dialog box. If you max screen openoffice on your secondary screen
and work on it, some dialogs randomly

Live CD. Are you able to test if the issue exists on a Hardy or Intrepid
Live CD? This will allow us to see if the bug still exists for new

option enabled, it always prints on one side. However, evince works

Using my previous configuration with the Emulate3Buttons added allows me to
copy text from the terminal window by pressing both mouse buttons
simultaneously.
Pasting text is achieved by pressing both mouse buttons in e.g. kate.
Interestingly, this process seems to bypass the KDE clipboard which
I have had some success by taping up the touchpad, instructions here:

If it is a permanent fix, then this is not a software issue, and the
best we could hope for in Ubuntu is a user-directed touchpad re-mapping
workaround. I'll see how it goes in the next couple of wee

I've tried same line in /etc/initramfs-tools/modules - the same as it was.
I didn't do anything special about uvesafb. This stuff is coming through
updates. I've tried to figure out what's the problem, but you see...
$ cat /etc/initramfs-tools/modules | grep -v "#"
uvesafb mode=1024x768
