When I close a Google Mail tab, Firefox closes immediately and
unexpectedly.
I have the Gmail notifier, however I tried disabling this and restarted firefox
- the problem persists.

I can totally confirm this on my Hardy with all the updates applied.
"Open" and "Open with" have no effect. I am however unsure if it is caused by
the keybinding.
I started gnome-search-tool from the console and I saw a message something like
"no association for this type" or something like that,
Based on the last comments I am marking this bug as invalid.
