It was a corrupted reiserfs problem. I have a different file system I'm
dumping that stuff to in that way and don't get a problem now.
I could keep using the resiser partition, it was fine after I ran a bunch of
fsck stuff and fixed up the issues. Not sure how it got corrupted.

On one of my machines, I somehow managed not to get the error message "error
writing to kino/mjpeg audio filter". However it still takes a long time until
"locking audio" goes away, but then the conversion is started and seems to work
nicely.
I still experience something strange on this

updates, then I don't see this problem with AD authentication - it's

I can add that the problem has been introduced somewhere
within the hardy development time. We have a machine
that has been installed around february/march with a then-current hardy.
This includes a working OpenMPI package. The update to the released hardy
broke openMPI.

it played the songs prefectly fine, then i got to one song that needed a
new codec, it installed it and since then when i press play it goes
through all the songs and marks them with a no-entry icon.
i'm using ubuntu 8.04
