Another way to reproduce the same bug is to open dialog window and start
typing messages. Very soon (2-3 messages sent and around 100 characters
entered) psi crashes somewhere in libQTGui. Downgrading qt libraries to

I just tested this. It's... strange.
The files work better now than they did before; for example they are now
showing the proper run time of a file when played back in totem or VLC.
The skipping isn't as bad but sound is very clipped, sounds tinny /
vaguely underwater and occasionally runs over it
To sum up I think that
1. Installing 'FlashBlock' and running flashes selectively might be a temporary
proper walk around until Flash 10 is released.
2, as suggested manually upgrading to Flash 10.

I can confirm the same bug on hardy with latest updates. Resume does not
work for me, screen is black and only way to continue is to power off
the machine. This is particularly strange because suspend/resume used to
work before, at least when I was installing Ubuntu and for the short

Despite the apparent success, the problems persists and there are more
of them. For example, I can not remove any application, and , when
composing an Email message using Evolution, I can type faster than the

I'm using ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron. The sound card works fine, except for
one issue: the microphone almost never works. After fiddling with volume
settings for hours I've managed to make it work twice, but it always
stopped working after a reboot, and nothing makes it come back

I am going to try all those things in the debugging of suspend pages.
In any event, the problem remains as before on Hardy.
I am no longer using the fglrx ATI drivers, and have switch to a
realtime kernel but there is still no way to suspend or hibernate. So I
just leave the computer powered on
