My hardy installation uses the iwl3945 driver and can connect to an
unsecured AP but cannot connect to my WEP AP with a hex key. It tries

Just my two cents. I accidentally installed 32-bit version (out of
habit) on my new Latitude D630, and noticed the same huge
mispresentation of wakeups. But now with 64-bit Ubuntu the problem is
not there, so it's probably something that depends on the architecture-
speficic code in Linux.

This could be helpful: I logged in in text mode without X/KDE and
downloaded a big file with scp (with 10 MB/s). Again I had the hangup,
but fortunately this time I got an error message on stout! Here are the

Same problem here using xen 3.2 and linux-image-xen (I've tested
2.6.24-16 to 2.6.24-18). I've tried to build a more recent version of
xserver-xorg-video-intel (the 2.3.1) and now I'm able to get a working
Xserver. But the problem is still there because as soon as I start X,
the kernel becomes unst

as a dependency (as would be expected). As a result ndiswrapper (the
most noticeable as it meant wireless was missing) was not availa

Could you please attach the logs of the upgrade from /var/log/dist-
upgrade/ to this bugreport? Especially main.log?
Once you have done that, you can open the "konsole" application and run
"sudo dpkg --configure -a". This should make the upgrade work again.
