I can confirm the bug on two separate workstations.
I just tried the sed fix but it will not run correctly, or so it seems.
It gives me the sed help (twice) and at the end

I have a similar problem with Vorbis in mkv files. I'm also using Ubuntu
8.04.
In Kaffeine I get: Audio: 0kb/s and no sound is played. In Windows Media
Classic I get Audio: Vorbis 48000Hz stereo [Audio] and sound works fine.

Windows XP at all as a result of this bug. My version of Windows XP is
an upgrade which requires the user to insert an older Windows CD (e.g.

Hello, thanks for using Ubuntu and taking the time to file this bug! I
am able to visit that perfectly fine on Ubuntu 8.04 with Firefox 3b5, so
I can't confirm that bug here. Is there anything different you are doing
that you could think of? What extensions (if any) do you have installed
in Firefox
the start/windows/super/meta/whatever/... key is not used optimally
under ubuntu. i agree on that. if it has to be mapped to opening the
K-Menu or some other action can be discussed. it can be used to define
shortcuts, however.

I've a similar problem when running Kubuntu 8.04 from the CD-ROM.
Choosing Manual Configuration from the context menu (opened by right
clicking) of the KNetworkManager status bar icon does not work at all.
It does not open any network configuration dialog at all. One have to

When I close my desktop using ctrl+alt+del or when I use the button
System and clicking in Exit. The system freeze. After that I need to use
ctrl+alt+backspace and re-login on the system.
I already re-installed my system and make all upgrades. And the system

I'm assuming binfmt-misc is standard and is in Ubuntu by default and is
the way the kernel executes files. If so, I also am experiencing this,
and I would guess that the easiest solution for a quick fix would be to
have "Run" be a special option that's always available for executable

I have also not been able to get my 4318 to work in Hardy, can you please post
to my bug report and possibly confirm it for me? Hopefully we can get somebody

I have the same problem on a hp pavilion dv2500. An uninstall of
virtualbox did not fix the problem, have not yet tried a manual
reinstall.

Same error on HP Pavillion TX 1320US (with AMD 64 bit proc.), running
