When using the "Merge and Center Cells" button in Spreadsheet, the cells
only merge but do not get centered. I expected the cells to merge and
that the data in first cell to be centered within the selected cells.
I am running Ubuntu 8.04.

Tried to print 300 of 500 pages, to PDF printer.
On kernel logs I can see the following error message:

I confirm this bug. I've experienced the crashes several (5 times) when
double-clicking on an mp3 in Xubuntu Hardy. Totem opens and the complete
system freezes (keyboard and mouse not responding anymore).
The freezes also occur when trying to open mp3's with Exaile.

I can confirm István Váradi's observation. Disabling networking makes
automounting work again. Enabling networking breaks automounting. What's
the relation between these two?

At my college (Cal Poly, SLO), all the wireless access points use the
same SSID, but each is on a different subnet. When I roam from one
access point to another, my connection mysteriously breaks without

Ummm. Embarrassingly, I failed to notice the truncated size of the
file: 4294967295 bytes, or 2**32-1.
This is saving the tar file to a FAT formatted usb drive, whose maximum
file size is the above number.
Solution: just split the file into smaller chunks, or reformat the external
drive to some

A workaround for this bug is described here:

right, they get cut off. The workaround describes how to move the
emblems more to the left so they don't get cut off.

Have the same problem on Hardy and HP Compaq nc6000 with ATI MOBILITY RADEON
9600 graphics controller and fglrx-driver.
I use the ubuntu fglrx-driver from the restricted modules package. (Kernel
Ubuntu-version: -17)
Also with the standard generic kernel and with a customized kernel with
radeonfb

I have no Internet working on my new Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6. It does work
in Windows. I found a fix that involved the r8168 driver from Realtek's
website, compiling and installing it.
It works when I do that, except my motherboard has 2 Ethernet
controllers and Ubuntu only recog
