I confirm this issue on Hardy. Installing "cm-super" fixed the display
issue. After that, the document that Benjamin Redelings added opens
instantaneously. However, printing continues to generate a very low
quality bitmapped printout.
The problem is there with PDFs created using pdfLatex. I do no

Same problem here. Only one refresh rate option though, which is 52 hz
according to the screen resolution settings, but 75 hz according to my
monitor. Something is definitely messed up with the refresh rate stuff.

in offline mode even though internet is connected (verified through ping

Hey,
Upgraded from Gutsy to Hardy on a T42. Still doesn't work. Never worked. Has to
do with acpi and fn-f5 not working in any way. Too hard :)

But that is not the point. If one tries to convert thousands of mp3-files to
ogg, then it is very disturbing, if the process ends just because of missing
tags. the program should override this, i think.
result: mp3-file without tags before conversion, ogg-file without comments after
conversio

Thanks for you log files. There are some error messages, but openssh-
server was successfully upgraded. I've seen similar bug reports with the
samba package, which is also interacting with the end user on upgrades.

I encountered the same problem, but installing gtk2-engines-qtcurve
didn't help me... neither does switching GTK engine to Qt. If I set GTK
engine to Raleigh the problem is gone.

I'm seeing this, too, on released hardy. (1.2.5-1ubuntu1). Here's my
stack:

I have looked at some nautilus bugs related to slowness at
bugzilla.gnome.org, found 2 or 3 (1 duplicate maybe), and they aren't
the same thing. Specifically they are related to how long nautilus takes
to display the files in a directory with 1000+ files, and I can confirm
that same problem here. O
