Kubuntu 8.04, ATi X800XT, free ati driver from Xorg, no beryl, no
compiz.
X froze 3 times so far when I entered text in a gtk application after a few
words.
I can still move the mouse pointer but the Desktop doesn't update anymore. X
apps like Kaffeine stop working.

My home directory is NFS mounted. "sudo modinfo xyz" works when I'm in
some non-NFS mounted directory:

I think I know what is happening. I am experiencing the same bug in
Ubuntu.
I right click a link and I get a menu, and I decide not to click
anything on that link. (i.e. I click outside the menu). Now when I right
click on a link below the one I had right clicked previously, Firefox
seems to take

I was installing Ubuntu Mobile in Moblin Image Creator with the
instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/Cases/UMEinstall , and
when I had to select the destination/build directory I couldn't press OK
