Ok so I recompiled 2.6.23-17 of the linux kernel and now my ACPI works
perfectly.
Im assuming there was some big ACPI change between 2.6.23 and 2.6.24 which has
caused my problems.
BTW I am also running the latest BIOS (no thanks to Toshiba for their

Identical segmentation fault: this is probably a xen-related bug.
Workaround is to move /lib/tls to /lib/tls~, solution is probably to
install libc6-xen (or move it up in the upgrade process to before
module-init-tools.

yes this error was fixed in Gutsy Gibbin 7.10 and it also works in Hardy

I have done the valgrind log, but under valgrind it doesnt crash
- i installed evolution-dbg
- run evolution under valgrind
- evolution is very slow, but will not crash after startup
- done the same without valgrind
- the groupwise account ist active
- evolution shows up for a moment, then crashe

I was wrong when I said that it doesn't work with new iwl3945 previously

In fact that was the AP that doesn't allow me to associate with it (mac
address filtering) and this may be the explanation of "reason=7" error.

Rublack, thats the same file.
Sorry about that URL, but if you append the package filename, you get the same
file (same md5sum).
So are you able to use that in Hardy? Any idea how I can avoid the mismatch
error shown above?

kernel 2.6.24-17 seems to me only available on proposed so for testing purpose
you can perhaps remove your proposed entry in the /etc/apt/sources.list
