Looks like I've identified the culprit. The function
_parse_localename(localename), line 375 in
'/usr/lib/python2.5/locale.py.

I've experienced as well this dma problem under ubuntu hardy, with
kernel 2.6.24.x series. The second fix suggested by C. Cooke worked
like a charm on my system. I've added "combined_mode=libata" option to
/boot/grub/menu.lst file and ran update-grub to permanently boot the
system with this option

I am quite the noob, but I was able to use DaveAbrahams' hack listed in
the url above to successfully resume!
First, I did the chmod command given by Alex above, and then used that
second command to copy the two files (after I renamed them once
downloaded) to the two different folders as specified

I installed hardy but regarding comments 35 / 36 it still does not work if i
click on the window title.
If I attach an app to alltray while it is already running - in contrast to
starting alltray with the app as a parameter - clicking on the minimize/close
button in the window title bar results
Well if it's a .tar or .tar.gz or another compressed file, you can use
file-roller. I advice you to work with Sbackup or timevualt this
backupprograms have a better development.
