i am also having this problem after upgrading to hardy - note lack of
shift key and hence capitals as the bug has hit. running vmware player
2.0.3 causes the problem. no problem inside a vm, but no alt, shift or
control outside. can't run a terminal as this crashes as soon as
keyboard is pressed.
I tracked this problem down on one of my Debian boxes; this may also
apply to Ubuntu, but I'm not sure.
The culprit appears to be the pango-graphite package. If I purge it,
the Exceptions and spacing bugs go away, suggesting that Firefox has no
clue how to deal with the Graphite extensions to Tru

I am having this problem too, it seems to affect firefox and swiftfox 3
betas. I think I have been experiencing it on Konqueror too, although
this could be a result of having firefox running.

I solved it by adding 'options iwlwifi_mac80211 ieee80211_regdom=64' to
the file /etc/modprobe.d/options
Now my Tx-Power is setted to 20 dBm on startup.

The files I tried to write were in total 3.9 GB
Every time I try to burn with a blank DVD, it asks me to put a new blank DVD,

Basically, the fix is deleting the file /etc/X11/Xsession.d/90gpg-agent
and restarting X (CTRL+ALT+Backspace).
