I've been able to boot the LiveCD and install Xubuntu flawlessly. I

Hmmm. Yeh, I've played a little more with this, and this always
triggers the problem. So try this to reproduce the problem:
(0) have a passphrase protected RSA key pair stored in ~/.ssh/id_rsa and
~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub
(1) logout of Gnome
(2) Ctrl-Alt-1
(3) login to the terminal
(4) delete the ~/.s
Here is what I did to reproduce
1) sudo apt-get install ruby-full
2) sudo gem install rails
3) vim-addons install vim-rails

5) cd sample_project
6) gvim app/controllers/application.rb

I don't know if this is the exact same issue but I managed to "fix"
Ubuntu 8.04 on my Dell Inspiron 530 by first switching to RAID, so I
could boot into Ubuntu, then forcing the SATA driver to load before USB
driver by following the instructions at this site:

Never have had KDM installed, yet I have the very same problem. After
fresh install it worked fine, but after I played around with some themes
I got the bug. Using default theme doesn't help now so maybe it hasnät
got anything to do with it.

I got the exact same problem when upgrading to hardy. After trying to
fix things through editing permissions in different versions of
java.policy (I wasted a couple of hours doing that :-), I found the
simple solution to be the best. I uninstalled jre with synaptic and
reinstalled through firefox p
Sending files (to pc from nokia 6630) works with debian sid package, but device
is not mounted and the window is still empty. Services, from bluetooth
preferences, are not activables clicking the checkbox. I see checked only the
audio service and i can't check others.

I just did clean install of 8.04 32bit RTM into 16Gb that I freed up on
my hard drive (existing Windows XP installation). My internet connection
