With 2.6.24-16-generic and nVidia Corporation MCP51 High Definition
Audio I still have the problem here. With manually compiled alsa
modules, it works though.
P.S.: Is there a way to prevent that manually compiled modules (via m-a
a-i ...) are being overwritten when the kernel packages are being

I had no problems with sound in Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron after
installation, but since they 'fixed' problem with Firefox and Flash
player I can't hear sound in Blender any more :(
Anyone know how to fix this issue?

I found a way to change brightness.. We have do make root aktive at
first (Couldn't get it to work with sudo).
Do this:
#sudo passwd root "Now type in a password you like"
#su root
#cd /sys/devices/platform/asus-laptop
#echo 10 > ls_level
Now your brightness should start to light up

I have an asus a6tc and on ubuntu hardy rc, the sound is always at full volume
when the computer starts. You can turn it down once the pc has stared, but at
the next startup, the sound is one more time at full volume. To put it in a

As noted draw is under graphics. Math is intentionally hidden with
NoDisplay=True. If you use the gnome menu editor you can have it
display.
