horizontal highlights. Additionally, there is one darker horizontal
line moving slowly from bottom to top in the main monitor, and one
moving from top to bottom in the secondary monitor. Secondary monitor

from the live cd and reboot, my raid 0 disk is marked as failed and the
raid 1 as degraded. After a cold reboot, the raid 0 is OK and the raid 1
marked as degraded.

AFAIK the lockup occurs on server hardware, too. In my case, I used a
PCMCIA UMTS card (Sierra wireless AirCard 875).
My overall impression is, that it might be related to the payload
wireless devices put on the TCP/IP-stack. Typically, wireless devices
stress TCP congestion handling far more than
I moved the configuration aside and restarted xorg.
That didn't help. Then I ran "sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg"
to create a new config file and restarted xorg again. That didn't help
either.
I'm still using Ubuntu 7.10. Is that a problem?

For anyone who needs to know the workaround, run gconf-editor (alt-2
followed by gconf-editor should do it). Hit ctrl-F and search for
"autoipod". You will find a key of that name and another called
autoipod_command, which should do the trick.

Found that my entire /etc/apt/sources.list was wiped. Typed in sudo gedit
/etc/apt/sources.list and /etc/fstab was on the page. I have deleted that and
replaced it with a backup of /etc/apt/sources.list and now seem to be able to
upgrade again. At this point system seems to be working OK.

I have got the exact problem on my EIZO F730, in combination with an ATI Radeon
9200SE.
It just does not detect correct resolutions. It can read EDID, but it seems to
not use it.
It does use the vesa driver, but I can't imagine where to configure X to use
the radeon-driver. It is all gone... (xo

do you still get the issue? can you describe exact steps to trigger it?
could you run /usr/lib/gvfs/gvfsd -r on a command line and note what is
written when trying to mount the drive in nautilus to a comment?

i cant confirm that on hardy, cdpinger works fine and removes the device

The windows inf driver for Atheroes ar5007eg works with ndiswrapper on
64-bit Hardy. After every boot, I have to remove the windows inf driver
and then re-install it. Without doing this, the networks are detected, I
am able to select a network, then I enter the network key but
