Hello, Today I downloaded the ISO file of the Ubuntu Beta 8.04 desktop amd64
version and burned it on a CD
I rebooted the PC and booted using the install CD, It took me to the main boot
menu options with no problem...

manual installation of the latest (169.12) drivers from nvidia.com. This

Something occurred to me when looking further into the problem.
It may be that acpi_fakekey is writing to the wrong device file.
I'm going to be doing a trace later tonight and see if that is the case.
If it is, I'll probably try and hammer out a patch to use hal to find
the keyboard, instead.

Same thing here. My Caps Lock LED flashes after trying to resume
indicating that something went wrong. I'm using the fglrx drivers (not
sure if that matters).

vista installs fine. im trying to switch over on my newer amd 6000+x2/3gb ddr2/
asus m2r32-mvp crossfire motherboard
poped in 7.10 (tried U,K, AND Xbuntu in both x64 and x86) live cds and tried to
go in both normal and safe graphics mode and none of them work
i believe its
damn small linux seems to work fine.. weird.
