Sorry.
Its happened during I was installing from live cd Ubuntu Gutsy 64bit.
Synaptics or installator was not able download some czech packages from link
see above.
Maybe it is ok now. I do not know, because I am trying "Hardy" now.

Sure tried "everything" means editing xorg.conf by hand, using different Nvidia
driver versions, not using Nvidia drivers (but adapter runs hot so I have to
use restricted drivers necessarily).
No Linux ever worked for me but as already mentioned the hardware can as WinXp
shows.

I can also confirm this bug with my laptop with intel 945gm. This bug exists in
Gutsy as well as now in Hardy beta (all updates!).
Laptop resolution is 1280*768 and external monitor (vga) is 1680*1050.
This bug also concerns all compiz effects, for example the zoom effect (see
attached picture).
I'm sorry but I don't using Quanta anymore.
