I have photos on a fat32 volume and when I attempt to delete some photo
by right clicking on the image in eog, I receive an error saying that It
cannot do it. Nautilus has no issue deleting the files however.

Hi, I'm attaching the requested log files (bzipped) , as I encountered
the same problem as reported. The upgraded 8.04 system is now
apparently running fine - but with at least 8 failures (probably
stemming from libssl - i.e. sasl, openssl, etc.), it may prove unstable
in some areas, yet to be see

btw: maybe it could be useful to let ubuntu tell you during the
installation that it is quite stupid to have a boot partition that is
not big enough for at least 2 kernels...that would have saved me from

Just for conformance i get the error too. It appears whenever i start a
java gui application that uses swing/awt. Applications that uses swt
(e.g. eclipse) don't appear to have the error.

After full update: I have network connection, but I can't make it to function

Sorry, but I've dropped Linux for this server and installed Solaris.
However, as far as I can remember, there was not a lot of thing displayed
before the kernel panic.

It is possible, that my xorg.conf was partially changed to default state during
upgrading. I forgot my selection in reconfiguration dialog.
Volodya, should i change the status of this bug? I don't know what a
permissions I have and what a person should assigned to. Any suggestions?

That's beyond the scope of this bug. Please report it as a bug in the
upstream bug tracker or discuss it in the appropriate mailing list with
the developers of the software. There's no way to revert the current
scheme of things for the Hardy release, but we can ship popular
applications in Universe
The GTK frontend labels the buttons "Go Back" and "Continue". I'm not
sure why the KDE frontend doesn't.
