I decided today to rebuild a local copy of flashplugin-nonfree and
remove the dependency on libflashsupport. This has fixed all of the
random crashes (with useless backtraces) that I was experiencing.
It seems that there is a bug in libflashsupport that causes the crashes.

I can see that you don't have the new version of displayconfig.py (by comparing
the line numbers in the traceback with the linenumbers in the new file)
If you have touched the file previosly, it will not be overwritten when
it is updated.
The file is located in /usr/share/python-support/kd
I wouldn't mind so much if it meant that only the browser widgets were
made non-round, but doing that globally is a bad idea.

I've been having this problem ever since Feisty, IIRC. It is most prone
to happening in Firefox, which led me to believe for some time that a FF
extension was the culprit. Among the ridiculous amount of extensions I
use (30+), I use SwiftTabs and Locationbar². The first one ties my '1'

Well the trick of using an asound.state file seems to work, and using
pulse audio allow one to set the volume of the pulse device using
alsamixer. So this bug is probably going to be quite transparent to the
typical user that is doing a fresh installation.

As stated before, the CPU consumption increases with window size. Also,
this is primarily (only?) for the Resources tab. After further
examination, the CPU utilization is much more sensitive to horizontal
increases. Stretching the window vertically does not affect things too

Hardy broke my wireless setup (using serial monkey's rt2570), I have
attempted to resolve this issue using the gutsy solutions, however none
of them have worked. Some how the device can pick up SSIDs.
When I start and stop network manager, it fails to load up rausb0.

well, i don't know when it will be fixed (my be in a very long time,
there are more serious bugs then this one) so i created a deb package
(modified the thunderbird-locale-ca package - but it work's!).

I think you're misunderstanding the issue. The patches in this bug
report do not change the button roundness in any themes; if the theme
specifies squares widgets, they will remain square.
The purpose of these patches are to remove unnecessary *rectangular*
white borders surrounding GtkBut
