CW038D working under Debian.
All I had to do in the end was add "CDR_NODMATEST=true" (without quotes) to
/etc/environment.

After removing the cx88 card from my system, now I can boot up properly
without error.
I have a feeling that this is an ALSA ABI issue. cx88-alsa from the
ubuntu kernel is probably causing the problem. (I've noticed a cx88
board in everybody's dmesg dumps)

however, there is a problem for people who installed flash player a
kludgy way (in an older install) and now have the plugin for flash in
~/.mozilla/plugins, so have flash without the actual package
flashplugin-nonfree installed. f

I cannot reproduce this on up-to-date Kubuntu Hardy.
Please exit knetworkmanager and start it from command line (Konsole) and try to
reproduce the
problem. Does it print anything (error?) to Konsole output?
Can you run "kcmshell kcm_knetworkconfmodule" from command line and
check that it works?

I also have this problem. the nfs server log gets flooded by mount
request for .TrashX. in my case it's the home directories that is
auto mounted and nautilus/gvfs tries to create directories in /home that
is never going to work
Something needs to learn to detect that /home/user and /home is n
It seems like the problem has been fixed, probably a quirk of the theme
and not of acroread.
However there is a small issue, you can notice in the attachment that
the application icon is not there in the panel nor in the window
decoration. I'll open another small bug for this.

Just upgraded to the latest version of Firefox in Hardy. Result: Two
sets of back and forward buttons in the navigation bar :-).

The problem appears to be related to AppArmor. Stopping AppArmor before
starting cupsys removes the symptom of cupsd not being able to load
libgnutls.so.13.
As with the original reporter, on my system /usr/lib is a soft link to another
file system.

I don't think the GNOME theme maintainers would add a hack to work
around Mozilla's problems.

Kubuntu Feisty through to current packages in Kubuntu Gutsy Remix (32
bit). Strange thing is that it doesn't happen immediately, but neither
does it wait for a restart. I usually notice this change 20 minutes or

The command "INSERT INTO msgs..." never touch MySQL. The msgs table is

Just an update. Current Hardy (April 6 2008, kernel 2.6.24-15, nvidia-
glx 1:96.43.05+2.6.24.12-15.3) still has this issue. I have another
partition running gutsy and there are no NVIDIA issues there. I also
tried copying the exact same xorg.conf from that partition into the
Hardy partition, and it
