I get the same. One can try to modify EXTRAVERSION in the Makefile, but
that is only a hack I suppose.

A workaround seems to be to add this to the Device section of xorg.conf:
Option "XAANoOffscreenPixmaps" "true"
After adding that option, scrolling in Gmail is much faster.
This is also a workaround for bug #182038.

I mark my own bug as invalid since it does work. You just have to be
patient when browsing the directory.

This is for the Wish-List:
When you activate the Auto-Login Feature in LDM (using Francis's Patch
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ltsp/+bug/161794)
you can't log out. If you log out, you are automatically logged in again. So
you can't login using your own username
Unfortunately I have to agree with Blue. Isn't it really possible to do
something with that?

I agree with Guillaume Desmottes. Indeed, I was confused when totem
didn't show my subtitles. I checked the preferences dialog but didn't
see the first time the option to automatically load subtitles.
It seems normal that persons who have subtitle file want to look the
video with it.
