This is how I managed to get Ubuntu 8.04 AMD64 Beta 1 installed on my
Dell Latitude D630.
Boot live CD, selected UK, Pressed F3 to select keyboard layout, selected UK.
Pressed F6 to specify boot options, added 'vga=769' (without the quotes) to the
end of the line and pressed enter.
It then boote

What is the status of this bug, someone knows hy it doesn't work!
I have 2 installations of Kubuntu Hardy on 2 different pcs, one of them
(fully up-to-date) gives the same error as "jeroenvrp", the allocation
error; the other pc which is not totally up-to-date, in fact only some
packages like pyth

I can confirm this bug.. it's not related to the ebesucher site, firefox
crashes also when you try to log in into hotmail and epiphany too it's a
gecko bug

complaining. It was also recompiled alongside iwl4965 when I compiled
the new modules from the intellinuxwireless site.

Using inkscape 0.46-0ubuntu1 in Hardy beta, I'm unable to make it print
anything as bitmap. My printer doesn't support PS, it's a cheap inkjet
printer (HP C3180), and the only way inkscape could print on it is if
bitmap printing is used. This worked well in Gutsy.

When attaching to an smb share through Gnome the share gets shown on the
desktop and an error dialog shows:
Can't display location "smb://myserver/data/"
The specified location is not mounted
[OK]
(the share is shown on the desktop)
Double clicking opens a nautilus window t
After opening the share, a second shortcut on the desktop appears.
It can be dismounted safely, but will reappear on opening the share.
If you dismount the original shortcut and double click the newly
created, it will open the share but not create a second shortcut.
