I discovered, that this also affects sudo. When I try to start sudo kate in a
Konsole (like yakuake) it doesn`t find kate.
:~$ sudo kate
sudo: kate: command not found
But when I start: sudo /usr/lib/kde4/bin/kate it works. So I looked at my path:
:~$ echo $PATH
/usr/lib/kde4/bin:/usr/lib/kde4/bin
I have the same painful experience. I don't know if it helps, but when
I tried to lauch the new Yahoo mail in Opera, that crashed as well.

everything out of roaming mode and placing it into static IP addresses.

Good point, Chris. I've noticed that sometimes OpenOffice seems to act
as though directly downloaded documents were opened from template, so
I'd need to perform a Save As... instead of Save. But even if document
