running "killall choose-mirror" would make the installer continue, but gets you
into livecd mode.

I used to have troubles with my acer Travelmate until i used the acerhk
driver. This driver can be downloaded at http://cakey.de/acerhk/
Then i was able to control the led via following command:
echo 1 > /proc/driver/acerhk/wirelessled
i also putted "options ipw2200 led=1" in /etc/modprobe.d/ip
It did not help editing sources.list.
No matter what I wrote, it did not make the install progress.

After I installed the plugin icedtea-gcjwebplugin_1.0-0ubuntu3 and the required
packages, I made a symlink in /usr/lib/firefox-addons/plugins
to ln -s /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre/lib/amd64/gcjwebplugin.so
My system is a 8.04 beta, after an online upgrade from 7.10 64bit.

package -- I never installed it). Did you restart Emacs after
installing emacs22-el? Can you verify that
/usr/share/emacs/22.1/lisp/progmodes/python.el.gz exists on your system
and that the path is on your load-path?
