Ok, I upgraded to Hardy today and the problem is gone. Sorry for taking
your time.
But on Gutsy, I just had an image on my desktop and I renamed it, which
caused the thumbnail to be replaced by a default image, and back into
the thumbnail. But the problem is gone in 2.22, so nothing to worry
about

I can also confirm this bug in hardy beta. Unchecking and rechecking
the the box next to the network interface works around the problem (auth
eth0 shows up in /etc/network/interfaces then).

I had the same problem upgrading from 7.04 to 7.10 with the Alternate CD
(which I am using because of a free transfer limit of 800 MB per month).
The full failure message in the grafical interface was:

Yes, it exist. But it only fixes monospace fonts. *All* fonts are blurred.
Screenshots I've attached shows DejaVu Sans (NOT monospace) with fringing.

Here's an extra data point: I'm seeing the same problem on my machine.

- Hardy, up to date until March 22, 2008.
- It worked yesterday, now nm tries to connect but I get no bulbs. I have to
kill -9 NetworkManager, and then manually restart it, if it starts to try to
