I am running the latest xserver-xorg-video-intel ... updated this
morning / last night and I am still having this issue when running 3d
applications in WINE. It restarts X without any warning.

I can confirm this problem. It also happens, when stopping and starting
playback again a few times.
However i don't think it is rhythmbox related, since it wasn't changed
recently. Gstreamer however got updated to 0.10.17.3-1ubuntu1, so that might be
whats causing the problem.

If you create svn mplayer with checkinstall, so you habe a deb.
In this deb is mplayer and mencoder.
sudo dpkg -i svn mplayer.deb installed mplayer and menoder.
mencoder works fine,but is not Is not registered
It was in 7.04 and now in 7.10.
It a Bug in Ubuntu.

confirmed, the desktop is using the wrong mimetype, I've sent a patch on

rhythmbox to open those btw? There is a bug about opening file in
rhythmbox not working, they are added to the library and not played, is
that fixed in h
Thinkfinger has been uploaded.
While this has some issues (it stores the fingerprint in the home
directory), it's generally more stable then fprint at this point.
Happily the fingerprint files are easy to migrate, so for 8.10 we could
switch to an fprint-based solution and migrate the user across.
