The same problem, i though it was a hardware damage so I take a closer
look to my hard, then i reboot Ubuntu and still no sound i am using a
genius 5.1 CH, Then i boot up again the pc and i started mandriva and it
work fine, then i change the boot to previous Kernel and and sound was
restore.

I can confirm the bug.
I was expecting to have CLST this sunday 9, but it was CLT. The time
was right, but not the timezone.
It didn't happen in Debian Etch. I checked them, and both of them
(ubuntu and debian packages) shared the same patch.
I also checked with:
$ zdump -v 'America/Santiago'
I believe that this bug has been corrected in Ubuntu hardy
openoffice.org 1:2.4.0~rc2-1ubuntu3 so I am marking it as Fix Released.
If after upgrading you continue to have problems with this issue then

1) open ooffice-impress with the dark theme (e.g. Serenity::OuterSpace)

3) insert some text in the slide (it should appear white on a black
