This is not completely fixed with 0.3.4, but is much better. Feisty and
Gutsy guests seem ok, but edgy and dapper guests do not. I thought it
might be related to 'vmmouse', but my edgy guest is using vmmouse and it
still has the problem.

populated by a fixed package but as of last Wednesday's patches it
hadn't. even rebooting didn't cause the fields to fill in. I then
installed nightly iso build from wednesday (5 march 2008). this time the
fields were filled in
Which part of openoffice were you using? It sounds like you were using a
spreadsheet but I don't see any option to minimize a spreadsheet, so I
am unsure what you did.

It think Ubuntu developers should help with backporting drivers. Hardy
is LTS and shouldn't be buggy...

I also have a Presario 2700 Laptop and have been trying to get the sound
to output from my laptop speakers for weeks. I've tried everything I
could find in the forums, the help guides, etc. I've even recompiled
with ALSA Driver 1.0.16 using Module-intel8x0 from the alsa project and
still no sound

firewall, can you try another client (kopete perhaps? available from
add/remove) and see if you get the same behaviour?

I believe that this bug has been corrected in Ubuntu hardy
openoffice.org 1:2.4.0~rc2-1ubuntu3 so I am marking it as Fix Released.
