What version of ubuntu are you using? The i810 has been obsoleted by

I agree. IMHO, they could even affect security issues, e.g. wrong local

UPDATE: Sorry to say, after this saturdays updates (03/08/2008) this bug
has resurfaced itself. When the laptop powered on after all the updates
were complete, this horrible error once again showed its ugly teeth.

I'm adding a linux-source task here. It seems to me like the best course
of action here is to modify the building/updating of the initramfs in a
way that the time-window were the system does not boot is minimized.
