Trying to run any GNUstep application results in application not found
error message.
The problem is that the script /usr/share/GNUstep/Makefiles/GNUstep.sh
needs to be sourced before any GNUstep application will run as intended.
One workaround for this is to append:
. /usr

and see if gnome-settings-daemon is running. If not can you run

I attempted to reproduce the problem on a 32-bit installation (i386) of
Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon, since I found the problem with NaNs on the amd64
version. I was NOT able to reproduce the bug.
The problem is apparently some sort of 64-bit issue.
