(which will be /home/$user) and either not submit or change "Uname", as
it will display the hostname. We could change it from "uname -a" to

I've just made a quick test: on Gutsy (OO.o 2.3), removing the section
"DefaultFont" from the installed Writer.xcu (/usr/lib/openoffice/... and so on)
makes oowriter choose by default the Nimbus and Free fonts. you can eesily
check this by removing the .openoffice.org2 dir and running Writer.

It seems to be not releated to XSHM. I suspect its something with the
color managment that leads it to generate a alpha channel for some
reason.

Bug seems to be an issue with openal and alsa. Configuration openal in the
openalrc to use oss solves the problem, so this should maybe set to default on
the ubuntu distribution.
