here is a weird one. I load up a video in VLC, fine. I make it full

font size, originally. However, once I restarted the system, it was back
to the old ways; some items were following my new size 8 font, while

What resolution screen are you using and are you using compiz? If using
compiz does disabling it cause the size of the spellcheck window to
become smaller so that you can see other things? I can not reproduce
this problem locally.

The daily live for Hardy from 2008-02-15 basically works, but the
desktop area is set to large. The Xorg.0.log of the install session is

Thanks for the reply. I've tried quickly to reproduce it after turning
off compiz but the bug did not come back.
I will keep compiz turned off on my machine for a few days and see
whether during my normal day to day use the bug comes back again because
it might be a combination of various factors
