I can confirm this bug on kubuntu hardy beta (with latest upates 1 hour
ago).

Just curious if this is still an issue for you? What version of compiz
do you have? I am unable to reproduce this issue using
compiz=1:0.7.0-0ubuntu1 in the Hardy Heron Alpha release. If the issue
does still exists in the latest release, could you please add your
~/.xsession-errors, /
