set the mtu to 1000 when I set up the connection and when connected,
ifconfig tells me that the mtu is 1416. The connection eventually hangs.

I have the same problem as Jeremy: after the update to 4.0.1 all the KDE4
entries are wrong: menus, desktop icons, and so on.

I'm experiencing this problem on my Dell Inspiron 1520 with Intel and
nVidia 8400 too. I've used Envy to update to the latest driver from
nVidia and the problem still exists. I ran for a long time without
restricted driver and the problem existed then too.
